Joan: 65 years old
When Joan came for treatment on
the cosmolight ,
she said that she had visited her G.P. with a very bad pain and swelling in
her ankle. She found that if she wore flat shoes for too long, the ankle became
weak and she would twist it. She found that wearing higher heels to her shoes
was better but still when she walked she constantly twisted her ankle. She was
prescribed Ibruprofen cream and tablets but was not happy taking them.
1st treatment on the cosmolight
- Intensity 50 - 15 minutes over ankle
When Joan came for her treatment on
the cosmolight,
she said that the ankle had been giving her constant pain for about two months.
The inside of the ankle sometimes swells and she finds it painful to put her
foot to the ground. The pain is very sharp which then becomes an ache.
2nd Treatment on the cosmolight
- Intensity 50 - 15 minutes over ankle
When Joan came in for treatment she said there had been no change. We then decided
to carry on this treatment for 12 sessions of 15 minutes each. We did no acupuncture.
After her 6
th treatment she found she could walk around all day with
flat shoes on with no pain or twisting of the ankle. Also high shoes were no
problem for her to walk around in. The ankle has gone down and feels normal
to her. After the 12
th treatment on
the cosmolight
it was decided that no more treatments would be necessary because there was
no pain or swelling.
